Our priest, The Reverend Ally Perry, has been a breath of fresh air in the Episcopal church since her ordination in 1984.  She was raised in Alexandria, Virginia, attended college at Franconia College in New Hampshire (BA 1975) and graduated from Yale Divinity School MDIV 1978) and Graduate Theological Foundation(MBA 1992).  Ally was called to Saint Anne’s by the Fields Episcopal Church as vicar in 1984.  Saint Anne’s was the newest church in the diocese and while in Ankeny Ally and the congregation raised the money and built the first building for Saint Anne’s.  Ally left 5 years after the building was complete, when the mortgage was 1/2 paid. The church became a parish in 2005. While in Iowa she served on the Commission on Ministry, the Evangelism

Commission, taught EFM and was elected as the Provincial delegate. She left Iowa in 1997 to study Hebrew and Biblical history in Jerusalem, Israel for a year.  As the vicar of a church plant Ally has studied Evangelism and church planting extensively.

Ally is dedicated to the study and teaching of the scriptures and each of her sermons expounds the Word of God for the week.  In addition, she leads weekly Bible Studies in which all are encouraged to participate and ask any questions about the lesson that occur.  Ally says that there “are no dumb questions” about the Bible and encourages inquiry at all levels. Come join us, you will enjoy the enrichment to your spiritual life!
